Quality Tax Planning, Preparation and Assistance
Accurate tax return preparation, particularly for
individuals and businesses with many sources of income and complex
deductions requires a broad diversity of experience and a through
knowledge of Federal and State tax. The federal tax code
now totals over 25,000 pages plus a vast body of Regulations,
Rulings, and Court decisions.
I originally received my Bachelor's degree in Accounting from
the State University of New York at Albany, where I graduated
Cum Laude. After moving west, I became a registered Certified Public Accountant in
Arizona in 1986. In 1991, I received my
Master's of Taxation degree from Arizona State University.
After 25 years of experience in all both large national firms and smaller specialty practices, I have now established my own independent practice focused on providing the highest quality tax service and personal attention to my clients.
I have served as an advisor to the IRS as a member of the Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee, which is charged with improving and expanding the IRS E-File program. I remain in regular contact with IRS Staff in Washington. I was asked to provide Congressional testimony on IRS audits. I am also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arizona Society of CPAs. I am active on the state society committees. I travel to Washington DC on a regular basis to promote taxpayer issues on hill with congressional staff. I regularly moderate round tables for the Small Business Administration in Washington DC.
In addition, I am co-founder of the National Small Business Network. This is a bipartisan group of small business people that meet with members of congress to encourage small business tax legislation.
Local recognition:
I currently serve on the Board of Directors of Valley Estate Planners and am a member of the Phoenix Tax Workshop advisory committee.
